Our office was created in 1975 by a group of attorneys led by former Maine Governor and U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Kenneth M. Curtis. How We Give Back

Many members of our firm serve on community non-profit boards and volunteer their time on behalf of a variety of charitable organizations in Maine. We are closely involved with the Susan Curtis Foundation and volunteer with the Maine Homeless Legal Project and the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project.

Curtis Thaxter is Maine’s representative in SCG Legal, where we have access to a strong international network of experienced professionals. Membership in this organization allows us to connect our clients with the best resources no matter the situation. Member law firms practice independently and not in a relationship for the joint practice of law.
