We are CALEX.  

WE ARE compassionate professionals delivering the highest quality emergency medicine, specialty care, and training to our providers and communities.    

WE ARE the largest non-profit provider of emergency services in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.   A registered 501(c)(3) corporation, we are in business to provide care, not to generate profit.  

WE ARE over 30 full and part-time EMS providers, responding to almost 15,000 residents and visitors in over a dozen towns.   Most of our providers are licensed at the Advanced EMT or Paramedic level.   We operate out of two stations, with six ambulances, and one medic intercept vehicle.    In addition to emergency care, we provide non-emergency and specialty transport services.

WE ARE an authorized American Heart Association Training Center for CPR and First Aid.  We provide community classes for the general public as well as "BLS" training for health care providers.   In 2017, our efforts were recognized by the State of Vermont and the American Heart Association when St. Johnsbury was awarded a ++HEARTSafe++ Community designation.
